Thanks, Ginger. I will say it wouldn't have been the same with Sarah Palin's son, Trig. We have a boy with Down Syndrome in one of our classes - he's just so joyous and talkative and kind and well, easy. The kids with autism are another story. BTW, I hope little Trig is healthy and growing up well.
Kennedy had a sister with Dev delay and that is how the whole put them away syatem got changed in the 60, special olymipics got started and much funding even got turned tworads persons with special needs......
I am coming to terms with the fact that I have become horrible at responding to email. My workload has increased and although I mean to respond to all emails like I could in the old days, it just doesn't happen any more.
So I apologize in advance if you don't hear back from me, or if it takes two months to hear back from me. But please don't let my potential failure to respond discourage you from getting in touch. I love to hear from readers.

I read it, and it was awesome.
I think it would be an excellent thing for the world if a child of a President had autism - or any major disability.
Not for the child and the family involved - but for the rest of the world to open their eyes.
