The AAP No Longer Claims that Vaccines Don't Cause Autism!
They issued a new statement in January. No one noticed.
The American Academy of Pediatrics actually makes no firm statement anymore on the link in its official stance, but merely comments on one segment of the research. This is their discussion on the topic:
https://
“Over the past decade, questions have been raised regarding a relationship between autism and vaccines. Along with general safety concerns, parents have wondered about:
• too many vaccines overwhelming the immune system;
• the measles, mumps, rubella combination vaccine (MMR); and
• the preservative thimerosal, which was never present in MMR but was present in several vaccines used in the 1990s, but has since been removed from all routinely used childhood vaccines with the exception of flu.
Research has been conducted on all of these topics, and the studies continue to find vaccines to be a safe and effective way to prevent serious disease. This document lists those studies and provides links to the publications to allow parents and all those who administer or recommend vaccines to read the evidence for themselves. These studies do not show any link between autism and MMR vaccine, thimerosal, multiple vaccines given at once, fevers or seizures. This is not an exhaustive list- vaccine safety studies are constantly being conducted and published and may not be reflected here.”
Note the last two sentences state that, while the studies they list show no link, that they admit that they do not list all the applicable studies.
Note that they do not list any of the papers that I have cited that do demonstrate links between vaccines and autism. They have simply cherry picked the research.
Note that they use the authors and papers at the center of the current scandals, published by DeStefano, Boyle, Yeargen-Allsopp, Thompson, Thorsen and Madsen.
These are those other papers that they mention. They all give evidence that vaccines cause autism.

The State of Maine Allows MaineHealth to Make Fraudulent Product Safety Claims
This is a much belated post that wraps up the state and federal responses to MaineHealth, and Vax Maine Kids false vaccine safety claims, made on MPBN in late 2014.
By way of reminder, Cassandra Grantham, representing Vax Maine Kids, claimed that there are "several" vaccinated v. unvaccinated studies that show that the product line her company is selling, vaccines, are safe, because fully vaccinated children have no higher autism rates than unvaccinated children.
No such research exists.
The initial post about her interview, including my emails to and from Ms. Grantham confronting her on her fraud, is here:
The follow up post, the one where I document trying to get state and federal authorities to hold MaineHealth accountable for their fraud, is here:
Well after all that, I tried one more time to get Maine to do the right thing. They did not do the right thing.
The Maine Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Licensing and Regulatory Services determined that my concerns and allegations, "do not meet the criteria for an on-site investigation."
Of course why a false claim on the radio, about research that the federal government has stated does not exist, would require an "on-site investigation," is completely beyond me.
My request for an explanation of why this odd ruling was made has gone unanswered.
My complaint:
Ms. Grantham,
This week on MPBN's Maine Calling, in response to a question about vaccine safety, you made the following claim:

Hello Ginger ~
Thank you for listening to MPBN’s Maine Calling Show – it is great to know that we have reached such a wide audience with important vaccine messages. I want to clarify that I do not represent any product line or company other than MaineHealth, which is a health system which supports on-time childhood immunizations. I have never been paid by or consulted for a pharmaceutical or medical intervention company or agency. Please see below for MaineHealth’s official statement regarding childhood immunizations.
MaineHealth supports the health, safety and well-being of infants, children, adolescents and young adults. We believe that vaccinating children on-time, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), is one of the best ways to reduce vaccine-preventable diseases in our communities and keep children safe and healthy.
In regards to my statements about vaccine safety, I based those on these studies.

Ms. Grantham,
None of the citations you offer contain any research on autism risk, or any other developmental disabilities, in vaccinated v. unvaccinated children, which is the claim you made on Maine Calling. Again, no such publish research exists in any form.
I therefore demand a retraction of the fraudulent safety claim by yourself, MaineHealth and MPBN.
I will not cease using your image, as this is a very newsworthy story and the professional headshot of a medical corporation employee making false claims about the product safety of the pharmaceuticals that it sells is fair use of this image.

Ms. Rooks, Mr. Smith and Mr. Vogelzang,
On your December 1 episode of Maine Calling, Cassandra Grantham, a representative of MaineHealth, made a fraudulent safety claim on your show. I have copied you on the my email exchange with her, which details the false claim, my correction of the false information as supported by the Congressional testimony of the head of the CDC's Director of the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, and my request to Ms. Grantham for her to cite the multiple studies that she claim exist or retract her claim.
As you can see, she has failed to produce any research comparing autism rates in vaccinated and unvaccinated populations and failed to retract her claim.
I there for request that Maine Calling retract Ms. Grantham's claim in the same format which it was offered, noting the false claim on the archived version of the interview if MPBN chooses to leave it online.
I further strongly encourage Maine Calling to perform an honest evaluation on why vaccine rates are low in Maine and falling nationally. As the educated mother of a vaccine injured child, I can attest to the real reason. It is because the liability protection given to the entire vaccine industry in 1986 has resulted in massive corruption in the vaccine program. Ms. Graham's behavior on your show is case in point. Medical providers and medical industry representatives can make any safety claims that they choose, even completely false claims, because there is no accountability mechanism in place for the public to hold them accountable for false claims. Even when a child is killed by a vaccine after a false claim like this is made to a parent coercing them into administering a vaccine that they would not have otherwise agreed to have delivered to their child, there is no recourse to hold anyone accountable, or even force them to stop making these false claims. So false claims like this one, once spoken by someone claiming to hold authority in vaccinated, simply continue to circulate and be repeated.
No doubt Ms. Grantham's false claim will now be circulated by those who have heard your program, even medical professionals who administer vaccines to children.
The vaccine show you did with these three women on December 1, was not just about vaccine rejection, it is the REASON for vaccine rejection. It is a real time example of how and why vaccine interests are alienating and loosing the public trust by abusing the public trust. Your guests correctly reported that the exodus from the vaccine program is being lead by educated parents who have serious misgivings of the safety and trustworthyness of the vaccine program, while they themselves were making false claims about the safety of the vaccine program, thereby proving the untrustworthy of the vaccine program. And MPBN is participating in this corruption by allowing false claims to made on your platform with out challenge or correction.
I hope that the irony that a show you aired to raise confidence in the vaccination is actually destroying trust in the vaccination is not lost on you.
Now this claim of Ms. Grantham is merely one of many problematic statements made by herself, MaineHealth, VaxMaineKids.org and Dr. Blaisdell, and I would be happy to go over the false information that they are sharing with the public under the guise of serving the public if you decide to do a proper investigation of the fraud taking place in the vaccine program both in Maine and at the federal level.
But for now, I await a response on your retraction of this particular false statement. I cannot imagine that MPBN would allow any medical professional, industry representative or government official to make such false claims about any other medical product line or medical program. I don't expect Maine Calling to allow this to stand either.
Thank you for your consideration,

No reply from MPBN as of this filing.
Dear MaineHealth,
This past week, Cassandra Grantham of MaineHealth appeared on MPBN's Maine Calling and made a fraudulent vaccine safety claim. She reported to the public that there are several studies comparing vaccinated v. unvaccinated children that find no increase risk of autism and other developmental disabilities in children vaccinated according to the CDC's recommended schedule.
In fact, no such research has ever been published.
I contacted Ms. Grantham and asked that she cite the research she claims has been undertaken, or retract her statement. She not only failed to cite such studies, she actually cited a 2013 IOM report that confirmed that no such research exists in the medical literature, and that recommended against undertaking such research because of cost, time and difficulty. She has also failed to retract her fraudulent claim and says she will not be responding to me on this matter again.
This is just the latest of several false vaccine safety research claims that Ms. Grantham has made on behalf of MaineHealth both in public and on the VaxMaineKids.org web site, a MaineHealth Childhood Immunizations Program project. Several of these false statements have been brought to her attention over the last five months, and she has failed to properly address them. I can therefore only assume that Ms. Grantham is a bad faith player and is purposefully misleading of Mainers on vaccine safety matters
This is made all the more egregious as Ms. Grantham has been quoted in the Portland Press Herald as stating that, “Eliminating the philosophic [vaccine] exemption is the ultimate goal,” of the work your organization is undertaking. It is unconscionable that MaineHealth would make fraudulent safety claims in order to advance the agenda of removing parental rights and depriving children of a free and appropriate public education if their families decline to participate in a medical program that presents severe adverse health risks including disability, brain damage and death.
I wish to file a formal complaint against Ms. Grantham with MaineHealth. I believe that it is the duty of MaineHealth to review and retract Ms. Grantham's false vaccine safety claims and to exercise disciplinary action against Ms. Grantham, as well as clarify the organization's position on the rights of parents to receive full and accurate vaccine safety and efficacy information, and practice uncoerced informed consent in vaccination.
I have forwarded the email exchanges with Ms. Grantham and MPBN below for your review.
I am publicly documenting this process here.
Please direct me to appropriate contact on this matter so I may offer a full account of the problem and offer MaineHealth my support in assuring that it is offering accurate, evidence based information on vaccine safety to the public.
Thank you,
Ginger Taylor

Ms. Peebles,
Thank you.
I will publishing on this soon, and I do have a follow up question.
I reported fraudulent safety claims made by an employee of MaineHealth on MPBN, and on their web site. Why was this handled as if I was reporting a safety violation in a facility? Why would a false claim on the radio and in public warrant a facility inspection, and why was this not investigated properly to see if indeed MaineHealth, via VaxMaineKids, is making fraudulent safety claims?
I see this ruling as nonsensical. Can you explain this to me?

MaineHealth,
both on the VaxMaineKids.org web site and during an interview on MPBN
on December 1, 2014, have made false vaccine safety claims. I have
contacted VaxMaineKids, MaineHealth and MPBN to ask for a retraction
and correction of the false marketing messages that they are issuing
to the public, but none of the organizations will properly address
the issue.
VaxMaineKids.org
makes the false claims on their web site that:
“THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT VACCINES CAUSE AUTISM.”
And that, “No other medical study anywhere in the world has ever found a link between vaccines and autism. Not one.” (http://www.vaxmainekids.org/mythbuster-series-autism/)
During an email exchange last summer with Cassandra Grantham, Program Director of Child Health at MaineHealth, initiated by Ms. Grantham after I had written about her work, I corrected the misinformation, sending VaxMaineKids a list with dozens of studies that link vaccines and autism. (The list now stands at 108 research papers. http://www.scribd.com/doc/220807175/86-Research-Papers-Supporting-the-Vaccine-Autism-Link) Ms. Grantham failed to correct the false claims on the MaineHealth web site, and wrote that she was no longer interested in discussing the matter any further with me.
Ms. Grantham, representing Maine Health, made further false claims on December 1, 2014 on MPBN's Maine Calling, when she claimed that there were multiple studies comparing populations of unvaccinated children to children fully vaccinated according to the CDC schedule that have found no increased risk in autism among fully vaccinated children.
In fact, no such research exists, as testified to by Dr. Colleen Boyle, Director of CDC's National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities during the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee hearing 1 in 88 Children: A Look Into the Federal Response to Rising Rates of Autism on November 29, 2012. In response to a question whether or not autism risk had been studied in vaccinated v. unvaccinated children Dr. Boyle stated, "We have not studied vaccinated v. unvaccinated."
I wrote to Ms. Grantham to ask that she cite her sources or retract her false claim. In her response, she referred to three publications as sources for her information, none of which referenced a vaccinated v.. unvaccinated autism study. In fact, one of her references, a 2013 report by the Institute of Medicine on the current US vaccine program, addressed the lack vaccinated v. unvaccinated research as a whole, and specifically in regard to autism and other developmental disabilities, and notes that parents and the public have been asking for this research for some time. The IOM report recommends against performing such research, because, although they admit it can be accomplished and would be informative, it would also be costly, time consuming and difficult.
Ms. Grantham actually replied to me with information that confirms my allegations against her false claim by MaineHealth.

I
have further contacted several staff members at MaineHealth to ask
for a retraction and for clarification of their stance on a public
policy. I have received no reply.
Further, I have contacted both Maine Calling hosts and producers, as well as MPBN management, to ask for a retraction of these fraudulent claims, but none have replied.
I have attached the email chains below.
Further, it is imperative that the State of Maine provide oversight in this matter, as the federal 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act has removed the rights of families to sue corporations like MaineHealth when members are harmed or killed by a vaccine. The result of this blanket liability protection which has been in place for decades is that physicians, medical care providers, health corporations and even government agencies routinely put out false safety and efficacy information, because there is no mechanism by which the public may directly hold them accountable for fraudulent claims. The public's right to take these entities into a civil court, force them to testify under oath, have judgments rendered by a jury and have remedies be enforced by a judge has been removed. As a result, misinformation can be circulated by both malicious and merely uninformed parties, including doctors providing recommendations to patients in their offices. Bad faith parties and organizations who wish to make outright fraudulent claims are free to do so without fear of legal reprisal from their customers, even if the worst possible outcome happens and the vaccination that was delivered under false information or coercion results in the death of a child.
This complaint does not represent the total number of false statements made by Ms. Grantham and MaineHealth but is a short complaint on the easily corrected fraud currently taking place. In light of their refusal to correct even these extremely obvious false statements, I believe that a full accounting of their vaccine safety claims is appropriate.

Further,
Ms. Grantham in her professional, role has been quoted in the
Portland Press Herald as advocating the elimination of the
philosophical vaccine exemption in Maine. This would remove the
right of children to a free and appropriate education if their
parents did not choose to vaccinate as the state requests. As
vaccines are legally classified by the federal government as
“Unavoidably Unsafe” (which means they cannot be made safe for
their intended use) and can result in serious diseases, disorders,
disability, brain damage and death, it a civil rights matter that
parents and individuals be free to exercise their right to informed
consent, and to reject one or more vaccines for one’s self or one’s
child. It is also a civil rights matter that children be allowed
equal access to a free and appropriate public education without being
impeded by discriminatory policies. In their actions in the last 6
months, I assert that MaineHealth has demonstrated a willingness
commit fraud in order to achieve their goal of removing either
families’ rights to medical informed consent or the right to a
public education for their children to increase vaccine sales.
In no other area of medicine are these types of false claims on pharmaceutical products tolerated. I hope that Maine DHHS will take this matter seriously and exercise its authority here to protect Maine consumers against false vaccine safety claims.

Ms. Grantham,
This week on MPBN's Maine Calling, in response to a question about vaccine safety, you made the following claim:
MPBN: “Cassandra what kind of research is out there about the safety of vaccines?”
Cassandra Grantham: “So what's really great is that is that many different organizations have put a lot of time and effort into understanding the safety and efficacy behind vaccines and there have been several recent studies that have actually come out looking at associations between vaccinations and different situations that kids may find themselves in, autism being one of them, but many others. And of course we can't do studies that actually force families not to immunize their children so that we can look at what we would call it a randomized controlled trial, it's just not fair. So what we have been able to do is look back over time at different populations of children and we've actually found that kids who are immunized, completely immunized with all of the vaccines according to the the schedule that Dr. Blaisdell was mentioning the one that recommended by the CDC, that they have no higher risk of getting autism and some of these other developmental challenges that families face than those kids that delayed or did not receive any immunizations at all. So we're finding that there is research that is now delving deeper into this topic and actually proving that the CDC's recommended schedule is safe and it does work and it doesn't increase risks of other situations for kids.”
To the best of my knowledge, this is a
false claim, as no such research exists. This as testified to by Dr.
Coleen Boyle, Director of CDC's National Center
on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities during the House
Oversight & Government Reform Committee hearing 1 in 88
Children: A Look Into the Federal Response to Rising Rates of Autism
on November 29, 2012. In response to a question whether or not
autism risk had been studied in vaccinated v. unvaccinated children
Dr. Boyle stated, "We have not studied vaccinated v.
unvaccinated." http://youtu.be/O_GrCAzpA_0?t=9m20s
(please see the notes in the video that addresses the claims made by
Dr. Koren Boggs that such research exists in further detail.)
My understanding of the history of this topic is that the first such request for a study was made by the FDA in 1981 after they removed mercury from over the counter products. FDA declined to ban it from vaccines, asking CDC to first do a vaccinated v. unvaccinated study to see if it increased health risks, however CDC declined to perform the study.
The autism and vaccine injury communities have been asking for such a retrospective study to be done for more than a decade now, and health authorities have continued to refuse. Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) introduced the Comprehensive Comparative Study of Vaccinated and Unvaccinated Populations Act of 2007 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d110:h.r.2832:) to force NIH to do such a study, and reintroduced such legislation in the years since. In response to what he learned from Dr. Boyle during the 2012 hearings, Rep Bill Posey (R-FL) joined with Maloney and introduced H.R. 1757, The Vaccine Safety Study Act (https://www.congress.gov/congressional-record/2013/04/26/extensions-of-remarks-section/article/E576-1) that would again compel HHS to perform the study that you claim already exists.
The bill was not passed, nor to my knowledge has any vaccinated v. unvaccinated research on autism or any other developmental disabilities been published since Dr. Boyle offered her testimony before Congress.
As such it is appropriate for you to either produce the citation for this research that the vaccine injury community has been lobbying for, or to retract your false safety claims on MPBN for the product line you are representing.
Your false claims are only made more egregious by the fact that you have publicly stated in the Portland Press Herald that, "Eliminating the philosophic [vaccine] exemption is the ultimate goal." It is my belief that you are purposely lying to the public in order to remove parental rights and deny Maine children a Free And Appropriate Education in order to promote sales of a product line whose lack of safety is thoroughly documented both by the federal government and the product packaging itself. This type of propaganda sales campaign should not be tolerated by any responsible medical professional, health organization, media outlet or legislator. (http://www.pressherald.com/2014/08/14/state-legislators-to-seek-stronger-vaccine-laws/)

Thank you for your consideration,
Ginger Taylor, MS

I Brought My Doctor Before the State Medical Board For Failure to Investigate a Vaccine Injury
Two weeks ago, in my letter to the Johns Hopkins Journal, Narratives in Bioethics, I made public the fact that I had taken Chandler's pediatrician before the state medical board for failing to evaluate him for a vaccine injury. It was a journey that started two years ago, and I am just now wrapping up.
Here is both the short version of the story, and the very long version for the true die hards.
This is the question I before the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine:
What is the duty of a physician to his patient when a parent reports a suspected vaccine injury?
Their answer...
The doctor has no duty to the patient.
Well that is their implied answer. What they really did was just make up an excuse to close the complaint and not answer the question at all. But in their refusal to answer the complaint that a physician had failed in their duty to investigate a vaccine injury claim, they establish the standard of care.
The standard of care for reported vaccine injury is... medical negligence. (also blame the mother, but that is just SOP with autism moms now isn't it.)
Thus again proving my assertion, Mainstream Medicine does not take vaccine safety seriously.
That is the short story. Here is the long version:

CDC Priorities: Promoting Sexual Variety and "Fun" to Teens, Over Autism Treatment
Um... wow.
Your tax dollars at work.
Today I received this from the mother of a teen age actor: "...sent to us and I thought you'd like to see this one seeking teens for a CDC campaign."
As an autism mom who has been pleading with the CDC to address our children's health crisis, I let out an internal scream so loud dogs could hear it.
And I have to wonder where they were planning on airing this? The CW?
Please CDC, justify this project ahead of the prevention and treatments of ASD, OCD, ADD/ADHD, PANDAS, Lyme, and the epidemics of neurological and autoimmune disorders that you are completely ignoring.
My guess is that the day after Tom Price is confirmed and names a CDC Director, Anne Schuchat will be done and this expenditure will be gone, as I am pretty sure she is quite confused about the role of government in general, and the job of the specific department that she is currently temp heading.
There is a fine line between extended family members providing council to a teen on their sex life, and participating in a teen's sex life. Grandma seems to be crossing that line and "grooming" her grandchild.
Grandma may need a mental health evaluation, and if parents don't restrict her access to her grandchildren, it might warrent CPS involvement.
I have sent the following inquiry to the CDC:

Why I no longer participate in the US Immunization Program
Today, the Johns Hopkins Journal, Narrative Inquiry in Bioethics, has published their issue entitled, "Narrative Symposium: To Vaccinate or Not? Parents' Stories."
The journal description of this edition: "This narrative symposium, "To Vaccinate or Not? Parents' Stories", is comprised of personal stories from 12 parents on their decisions about whether or not to vaccinate their children. They offer a first hand look at the debated issues of vaccination. As the narrative symposium editors said, "The goal of this symposium is to aid in a more constructive conversation between pro-vaccination/anti-vaccination groups."
Included in the narriatves is a letter from me, reprinted here in full with permission from Narrative Inquiry in Bioethics.
Families are under no obligation to put their children at risk by participating in the corrupt current US National Immunization Program

My name is Ginger Taylor, and I hold an MS in Clinical Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. I am the mother of a 14–year–old vaccine injured child with an autism diagnosis, and our family no longer participates in the vastly corrupt and broken US National Immunization Program. Because of my experiences, I have become a state and national leader on vaccine safety and vaccine choice issues, co–founding The Canary Party, and The Maine Coalition for Vaccine Choice.
I have two sons, born in 2000 and 2002, and vaccinated them roughly according the the recommended schedule. My second son suffered what we now recognize as an adverse vaccine reaction to his first dose of the Hep B vaccine, but it was not recognized as such by either myself or his pediatricians at the time, so he continued to be vaccinated according to the CDC recommended schedule. Following his 18 month appointment, he suffered a severe neurological regression, displayed symptoms of GI distress, showed signs of an autoimmune condition, and was diagnosed with autism six months later.
His was a text book case of vaccine induced encephalopathy, per the Health and Human Services (HHS), Human Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Vaccine Injury Table established by the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), displaying symptoms including:
(1) A significant change in mental status that is not medication related; specifically a confusional state, or a delirium, or a psychosis;
(2) A significantly decreased level of consciousness, which is independent of a seizure and cannot be attributed to the effects of medication; including:
Despite this, and despite my repeated attempts to have my son's pediatrician investigate his condition as a vaccine reaction, no such inquiry was undertaken, and these symptoms were used instead to give him a diagnosis of autism. I would not read the VICP Vaccine Injury Table to learn that his were the symptoms of a well established vaccine injury for several years, and until after the three year statute of limitations had expired for me to file for compensation for his disability.
- Decreased or absent response to environment (responds, if at all, only to loud voice or painful stimuli);
- Decreased or absent eye contact (does not fix gaze upon family members or other individuals); or
- Inconsistent or absent responses to external stimuli (does not recognize familiar people or things). Please see http://www.hrsa.gov/vaccinecompensation/vaccineinjurytable.pdf for more info.
After being abandoned by the mainstream medical system, we sought expensive, out of pocket, alternative medical care, which proved very fruitful for our son. Although we lost our home over the choice, we still would make the same decision, as it dramatically increased his health and functioning. We are pleased to report that, while he still has full syndrome autism, he has gone from severe to a much higher functioning level. Most importantly, he is a very happy child.
Despite our earnest attempts, 12 years and four pediatricians later, we still cannot simply get him evaluated for this HHS established vaccine injury. Last year I filed a complaint against my own pediatrician with the state medical board, reporting that after multiple requests to evaluate my son for the condition, he had simply ignored my appeals as my previous pediatricians had. I asked the board to rule on whether or not my son had the right to an evaluation per an established standard of care, noting that if I had taken him to the doctor and reported that I believed he had a broken leg, their failure to assess him would constitute medical neglect.
The board investigated the matter, but their ruling did not address the question of what the duty of the doctor is to a patient reporting vaccine adverse reactions, and simply gave a non sequitur response to close the case. Their action was a de facto ruling that no doctor has an obligation to investigate suspected vaccine injuries, and evidence that the medical establishment's response to vaccine adverse reactions is systematized medical negligence.
Our experience is identical to that of untold thousands of parents, who learn the hard way that once your child is injured by a vaccine, you are on your own. The system has chosen to respond to those families with neglect, insults, coercion and even Child Protective Service intervention, rather than to reform the program to put measures in place to protect children and families from harm and fraud, as is the case with every other medical product in this country.
The 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, and the Supreme Court ruling Bruesewitz v Wyeth that sided with the pharmaceutical industry, removed the 7th amendment rights of individuals to sue in cases of vaccine injury and death. Please see https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/10pdf/09-152.pdf for more info. Vaccine injury claims were moved to the HHS Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. As a result of this freedom from legal accountability, systematic corruption has taken hold in the US vaccine program as we see that:
Mainstream research has found that vaccines and their ingredients can cause the underlying medical conditions that committed physicians and researchers are commonly finding in children who have been given an autism diagnosis. These conditions include gastrointestinal damage, immune system impairment, chronic infections, mitochondrial disorders, autoimmune conditions, neurological regression, glial cell activation, brain inflammation, seizures, synaptic dysfunction, dendritic cell dysfunction, mercury poisoning, aluminum toxicity, gene activation and alteration, glutathione depletion, impaired methylation, oxidative stress, impaired thioredoxin regulation, mineral deficiencies, impairment of the opioid system, endocrine dysfunction, cellular apoptosis, and other disorders. Please see https://www.scribd.com/doc/220807175/127-Research-Papers-Supporting-the-Vaccine-Autism-Link for more info.
- The CDC recommended Childhood Vaccine schedule ramped up from 24 to a minimum of 69 doses with no safety testing of the schedule as a whole. Please see http://maineinformedconsent.org/images/1983v2015.gif for more info.
- The federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program rejects the majority of claims made by families regardless of merit.
- States and families pay for vaccine injury cases that are the responsibility of the federal government.
- HHS has become a vaccine patent holder, while approving, regulating and recommending vaccines, and while adjudicating vaccine injury cases, without disclosing its serious conflicts of interests to consumers. Please see http://www.ageofautism.com/2010/05/a-license-to-kill-part-1-how-a-publicprivate-partnership-made-the-government-mercks-gardasil-partner.html for more info.
- Corruption in safety, efficacy and injury response is proliferating as demonstrated by:
- The current Congressional investigation into the #CDCwhistleblower Scandal, triggered when senior CDC vaccine scientist William Thompson admitted publicly that he and his research team had actively hidden vaccine autism links from the public. Please see http://healthchoice.org/outline-of-significant-developments-in-the-recent-revelations-on-vaccine-safety-research-corruption/ for more info.
- The Department of Justice indictment of CDC vaccine autism researcher Poul Thorsen on 21 counts of fraud and money laundering for embezzling more than a million dollars from CDC and his university, whose research CDC is still using to support vaccine safety claims despite the fact that he is currently a fugitive Please see https://www.justice.gov/archive/usao/gan/press/2011/04-13-11.html, https://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/fugitives/profiles.asp#thorsen and https://www.amazon.com/Master-Manipulator-Explosive-Embezzlement-Government/dp/151070843X for more info.
- The current mumps outbreak coupled with the US v. Merck Whistleblower Lawsuit underway in federal court in which Merck's own scientists are suing the company for turning in fraudulent mumps vaccine efficacy data to the FDA in 2000 to gain re–approval for the MMR II (the only measles, mumps or rubella vaccines licensed in the US.) Please see http://sanevax.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Merck-mumps-suit.pdf and http://www.reuters.com/article/health-vaccine-idUSL1N0YQ0W820150604 for more info.
- The current lawsuit by the Utah Whistleblower, Judith Zimmerman, Ph. D, states that she was wrongfully terminated for insisting that CDC follow ethic rules in, and publish accurate data on, the tracking of autism cases in the state of Utah. The accuracy of such data is vital in determining wither or not there is an autism epidemic temporally associated with vaccine policy and uptake changes. Please see http://www.plainsite.org/dockets/2f23qa336/utah-district-court/zimmerman-v-university-of-utah/ and http://www.deseretnews.com/article/865657990/Wrongful-termination-lawsuit-puts-spotlight-on-Utah-autism-rates.html for more info.
- False vaccine safety claims made by CDC, who report to the public that, “Vaccines do not cause autism,” and that, “There is no link between vaccines and autism.” Please see http://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/concerns/autism.html for more info. This despite the fact that the vast majority of the applicable research finds multiple links between vaccines and autism, and demonstrates the mechanisms by which vaccines and their ingredients can and do cause autism.
In 2015, in response to the national push to remove the rights of parents of schoolchildren to opt out of one or more vaccines, the Maine Coalition for Vaccine Choice worked with legislators to put the focus on the true problem in child health, the unaddressed vaccine injury epidemic, by introducing the Maine Vaccine Consumer Protection Act. Please see http://mainevaxchoice.org/2015/01/02/maine-parents-introduce-the-maine-vaccine-consumer-protection-act/ for more info. The legislation was designed in part to force medical providers to know and use the VICP and the vaccine adverse events information on the package insert, and to investigate and treat vaccine injuries per a standard of care. Please see http://www.vaccinesafety.edu/package_inserts.htm for more info.
- False vaccine safety claims made by the medical industry, such as those offered in my home state by MaineHealth both on their web site and on Maine Public Radio. Please see http://adventuresinautism.blogspot.com/2014/12/mainehealthmaine-vax-kids-makes-false.html for more info. Our unsuccessful attempts to have false claims that reference non-existent vaccinated vs. unvaccinated research removed and retracted, demonstrate that open fraud in vaccination is tolerated by every level of the medical and legal establishment. - The US Government Accounting Office, Stanford Law, George Washington University Law School and The Associated Press investigations into the failures of the VICP to properly compensate families of vaccine victims according to the intent of the 1986 National Childhood Injury Act. - Research showing that, although the federal government will not officially establish the vaccine/autism link, the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program has been quietly paying autism cases since 1991. Please see http://digitalcommons.pace.edu/pelr/vol28/iss2/6/ for more info.
- Public health officials, as a matter of open and international policy, refuse to engage with vaccine injury families to respond to the needs, concerns, complaints and accusations of this population, instead classifying them as “vaccine deniers,” teaching others to do the same, while leading public campaigns to vilify them and rob them of their right to bodily integrity. Please see http://www.euro.who.int/__data/assets/pdf_file/0005/315761/Best-practice-guidance-respond-vocal-vaccine-deniers-public.pdf for more info.
- Parents report being routinely bullied in pediatricians' offices for refusing one or more vaccines by physicians and nurses who know vastly less about vaccination and its risks than the family being bullied does, and who cannot give accurate answers to parental questions. Often these families are coerced into signing statements saying that they are violating medical recommendations, putting their child and the public at risk, and are occasionally threatened with Child Protective Service intervention.
In response to the bill, 21 medical individuals and entities submitted opposing testimony, however only one demonstrated that they actually knew what the VICP was. Please see http://mainevaxchoice.org/2015/05/21/maine-doctors-submit-testimony-showing-that-they-are-not-qualified-to-advise-patients-on-vaccination/ for more info. Some did not reference the program at all, and some confused the VICP, which is meant to care for vaccine injury patients, with the Vaccine Adverse Reporting System (VAERS), which was not referenced in the bill. Please see https://vaers.hhs.gov for more info.
The President of the Maine Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (Maine AAP) could not even correctly name or describe the program, submitting testimony that, “The Federal Vaccine Injury Program provides appropriate venue for reporting and tracking vaccine related side effects.”
The Maine Hospital Association testified on vaccine package inserts that “People don’t receive vaccines like they do other prescriptions… not sure there is a package here.”
The representative of the Maine Medical Association (MMA, the Maine Chapter of the American Medical Association) gave a long speech claiming that physicians are constantly trained in this area, but when asked about VICP rulings replied, “I don’t know. I’ve never been involved in that system.” Please see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYlguoqggSo&feature=youtu.be for more information.
The Maine Coalition for Vaccine Choice sent a long list of questions to the Maine AAP, the MMA and the Maine Immunization Program in response the public hearings to follow up on their statements, including questions on the education of physicians on vaccine injury. Our submissions were acknowledged, but all organizations declined to answer. Please see, http://mainevaxchoice.org/2015/06/04/questions-for-the-maine-chapter-of-the-american-academy-of-pediatrics/, http://mainevaxchoice.org/2015/06/04/questions-for-the-maine-medical-association/ and http://mainevaxchoice.org/2015/05/25/questions-for-the-maine-immunization-program for more info.
The great irony in this is that the AMA and the AAP were two of dozens of medical organizations that lobbied for, and submitted friend of the court briefs in support of, the 1986 law removing their liability for vaccine injury, and replacing it with the VICP. Then doctors collectively decided to ignore the VICP. For thirty years. Please see http://www.americanbar.org/content/dam/aba/publishing/preview/publiced_preview_briefs_pdfs_09_10_09_152_RespondentAmCuAAPand21PhysandPubHealthOrgs.authcheckdam.pdf for more info.
Mainstream medicine is in a state of willful ignorance over vaccine injury. Their response to the vast vaccine injury problem is denialism; systematized medical negligence of a growing segment of the population; attacking those with injured loved ones as unscientific, dangerous, “vaccine deniers”; and advocating that they be coerced into continuing in the program, at the cost of a child's education (approximately $50,000 per child.)
Why would any sane, conscientious parent, knowing the depths of the corruption in the US National Immunization Program, simply take CDC safety and efficacy claims at face value, and unquestioningly follow the recommended schedule?
There is just no evidence that public health officials, mainstream medical providers or most researchers take vaccine safety seriously.
Finally, the editors of this journal have asked an important question, and I wish to answer it as frankly as I can:
"Is there anything that you think might help to resolve the controversy surrounding vaccinations?"
The controversy surrounding vaccinations will never be resolved until the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act is repealed, and until families 7th amendment rights to have their complaints heard in civil court, under established legal procedure and ruled on by a jury, is restored.
Until there is a way to force public health officials, vaccine industry representatives and medical professionals to testify under oath, and under penalty of perjury, to either defend or retract their fraudulent claims, to pay for the damages done to children (including my child) for their institutionalized abuse and negligence, I will never consent to another member of my family participating in the vaccine program under any circumstances.
