Too often, school is a dual-goal place, with the second goal never mentioned: social learning.

When emotions are not just involved, but are mixed in with schooling, it becomes a confusing and stressful place. There are all sorts of pack behavior, herd dynamics, and we're immediately identified as the runt of the litter.

Teachers are our best friends because they're the only ones that don't pick on us!

Emotions should be a subject in school, in elementary school, not just mentioned here and there. Unfortunately, those for whom emotions are an inborn talent are unable to articulate the rules, much less tune out their own emotions to comprehend our lack of emotional understanding.

Visit my blog, Triessentialism, for a new theory about emotions, from someone who learned to pretend he has them.BlueNighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13059674637335099721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7771487.post-1143887976979278522006-04-01T05:39:00.000-05:002006-04-01T05:39:00.000-05:00Across the globe educational support for adoelscen...Across the globe educational support for adoelscents with Asperger Syndrome is very hit and miss. Resources in ireland are less developed than those in the US and UK, and even in the latter regions it seems services are dependent on geographical location. All the advoactes on this issue need to get teh joined up thinking right between primary level education, second level education and finally 3rd level and/or career education.
