CDC Vaccine Recommendations in Childhood Hits 70.. count 'um... 70 Doses!

Ding! Ding! Ding! America wins a prize!!!

CDC wants your child to have 70 vaccines by the time they are 18 years old!

70!

...50 of those are before the age of 6, and 37 of those are before the age of 18 months.

CDC is blind, deaf and dumb when it comes to vaccine injury and resistance to over vaccination.

Today the ACIP recommended a 5th dose of the 13 valent pneumococcal vaccine for those kids who only received the 7 valent version, which is essentially every child alive because that was the only version given until this year.

They are also recommending an additional flu shot this fall for any child who did not get the H1N1 last year.

I was a Navy brat, born in 1969, and the US Government vaccinated the hell out of me. I look at my shot record and it looks like they vaccinated me every time we moved. Just in case. (I got six polio shots!)

Yet my grand total until age 18 was 29 doses of vaccine. And my babies "need' 70?

Actually, come to think of it... how did I ever survive with less than half the vaccines that a child 'needs' today?!

Has anyone ever calculated the costs of those 70 vaccines? I wonder how much each child is worth to pharma as a vaccine receptacle?

  1. That's amazing...It's ridiculous how many vaccinations they assume everyone needs. I haven't had a flu shot in my entire life, and I have only had it once, when I was like 7. I myself, have decided against giving my children the yearly flu vaccine and the H1N1. I think people assume that once their children have these vaccines, that they are immune. some of these vaccines are, I think, unnecessary.

  2. I am old. I had one smallpox vax. I had a rash so I did not get the second one. We showed off our scar like a badge of honor. Weird I know.
I had the polio drops on a sugar cube.
Good grief, I lived through Measles, Mumps, German Measles. Chicken pox. The Hong Kong flu. and who knows what else.
What was I thinking when I let them poison my kids.

  3. Oh...my...gosh. I cannot believe it. And I cannot believe most parents don't even question this, although I used to be one of them...

  4. Insidevaccines will be publishing an analysis of vaccine program costs per child in the next day or two. Thanks for the great suggestion!

  10. children [..] who did not receive at least 1 dose of an influenza A(H1N1) 2009 monovalent vaccine should receive 2 doses of a 2010-11 seasonal influenza vaccine, regardless of previous influenza vaccination history

How the heck is that going to help? Even if the flu vaccine "works" - isn't one vaccine going to provide as much protection as two? Or are they admitting that the 1 2009 flu vax might not have worked? And is this the "normal" H1N1, or is it the dreaded will-kill-us-all-run-for-the-kills-(um I meant 'hills') swine flu?

Hmm - what happens if we have a "wave" of regressive autism cases happening in high schoolers?

Is that perhaps inevitable if we keep poisoning the planet the way we've been doing - if said poisoning weakens our metabolic systems enough for vaccines have a dramatic effect?
